The USS Saratoga, a Forrestal-class supercarrier, that in her nearly 40 years service with the US Navy would sail across the world from the US to the Mediterranean, to Vietnam and to Desert Storm. The embroidered oak leaves on the peak, known colloquially as scrambled egg, show this was worn by an officer ranked Commander or higher.
